MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN December 9, 2003--Just in time for the holiday season, selected pieces of Strands jewelry will be available for sale in the Milwaukee Art Museum Store.
Im impressed with the design and quality of Strands jewelry, says Jeanne Jarecki, buyer for the Art Museum Store. Were looking forward to carrying Strands jewelry and we know it will be well received by local and out-of-town visitors to the store.
The overriding theme of the Strands collections to be sold there is color. All the pieces slated for the store will be vibrant and colorful, whether theyre made of crystal, glass, pearls, or semiprecious stones. The collection will feature several of Strands signature pieces including the Miles & Miles of Color necklace, a 66 continuous beaded strand of crystal and glass which can be worn in several ways.
Im excited to be one of the stores vendors, says Anita Nagurka, owner of Strands. Like the rest of the Art Museum, the store is classy, upscale and architecturally stunning. Its a great opportunity to get more exposure for my jewelry in a beautiful setting.

About the Art Museum Store
The Milwaukee Art Museum includes the new Santiago Calatrava-designed Quadracci Pavilion, completed in October 2001 and named by Time magazine Best Design of 2001. Calatrava also designed the Museum Store including three custom-designed display cases that were built in Switzerland. The sleek white palette of the Quadracci Pavilion is extended to the store walls, bleached maple floors and cabinetry that provide the backdrop for product display. Glass shelving lines the perimeter including glass supports for shelves, window lights reflect the gallerias and a skylight in the vaulted ceiling rises more than 20 feet high.
