Website Showcases Custom Furniture Made from Classic Pinball Machines

Using classic play fields as a starting point, award winning furniture craftsman Michael Maxwell handcrafts one-of-a-kind cocktail tables, side tables and shelving units.

Bedford, Virginia July 23, 2004 -- Silverball players are sure to flip out over this new tilt on pinball. MT Maxwell Furniture Company announced today the launch of their new website, MaxwellSilverball.com. The website showcases a new line of furniture that incorporates the play fields and back boxes of classic pinball machines.

Using vintage machine play fields as a starting point, award winning furniture craftsman Michael Maxwell handcrafts one-of-a-kind cocktail tables, side tables and shelving units. We love the fact that we can salvage these wonderful play fields from old non-functioning machines and showcase them in our new line, says Helen Maxwell, founding partner of MT Maxwell Furniture Company. In each piece, we feel were preserving a little American cultural history.

Although our Silverball line contains nonfunctioning play fields, we feel it will still be in demand, added Maxwell. Back glass art is a popular collectors item with some pieces selling for thousands of dollars, and our new line goes one step further, incorporating back glass and play field art into stylish furniture.

The new Maxwell Silverball furniture line costs between $1500 to $2500 depending on the piece. Custom furniture creation is also available.
